Ulysse Delsaux, No. 46 Nexteer Automotive Toyota Camry
Jet Tools 150 at New Smyrna Speedway
No. 46 Toyota Camry… Crew Chief Charles Denike and the No. 46 crew will unload chassis No. 132 for Sunday’s Jet Tools 150 at New Smyrna Speedway. This car was last raced at Dover International Speedway, where Corey LaJoie finished seventh.
Welcome Back … Nexteer Automotive returns to Precision Performance Motorsports this weekend as primary sponsor of the No. 46 Toyota Camry. Nexteer Automotive is a multi-billion-dollar global steering and driveline business solely dedicated to electric and hydraulic steering systems, steering columns and driveline products for original equipment manufacturers. The company is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Its 11,000-member workforce serves more than 50 customers in every major region of the world. The company has 20 manufacturing plants, five regional engineering centers and nine customer service centers strategically located in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Nexteer Automotive’s customers include BMW, FCA, Ford, GM, Toyota, PSA Peugeot Citroen and VW, as well as automakers in India, China, and South America. www.nexteer.com
First Timer … The Jet Tools 150 weekend will mark the first time that NASCAR Whelen Euro Series’ driver Ulysse Delsaux will race in NASCAR in the U.S. This is 18-year-old Delsaux’s first K&N Pro Series start and another step in the Road to Daytona program – the path designed by Nexteer and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series to bring European drivers to race in NASCAR in the United States. Delsaux is the youngest member of the program and one of its most promising.
Fighting the Odds … Racing for Ulysse is not just a passion and a goal, it is much more. Diagnosed with a form of autism early in his life, Delsaux didn’t talk until he was five years old and his condition kept him out of the school system. It was racing – paired with his parents’ huge efforts to provide him with a good education and support him in fulfilling his dreams – that helped him making great strides in life and becoming the racer he is now.
Denike at New Smyrna … Crew chief of the No. 46 Toyota Camry, Charles Denike, enters his third year as Precision Performance Motorsports’ K&N crew chief and has led the team from the pit box at New Smyrna once before, posting a top-10 finish with Brandon Gdovic in 2014.
Catch the Action … Sunday’s K&N Pro Series East race at New Smyrna Speedway will be broadcast live Sunday, February 14th beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on the Motor Racing Network and televised on Sunday, February 19th at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Ulysse Delsaux Quotes:
“It is such an honor for me to enter this race, because it means that all the work we have done since the beginning of my career is paying off and the NASCAR family recognizes me as a good NASCAR driver. I have to thank everybody at NASCAR, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and Nexteer Automotive for this amazing opportunity. This is just the beginning and I hope to demonstrate I deserve more opportunities like this. I will enjoy every lap and give everything I have to show that I am a good NASCAR driver. I hope for a clean, solid race.”
Charles Denike Quotes:
“I am excited to get back to New Smyrna Speedway and kick off the K&N Pro Series East season. We will have an open test day there Saturday and our main focus will be getting Ulysse comfortable with this type of racecar and the track. We will work on practice and qualifying procedures to get the most out of Sunday. I expect Ulysse to do well in the race and I am looking forward to working with him in his series debut race.”
