STAAB AND BROLL LEAD PPM TRIPLE TOP-FOUR FINISH AT ROAD AMERICA

Precision Performance Motorsports earns two Am-class podium positions and places all three starting cars inside the top four.

Precision Performance Motorsports opened its Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America weekend at Road America with a strong team performance, placing three Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 entries inside the top four of the Am class.
David Staab led the PPM charge in the No. 48, finishing second in class and 21st overall after 23 laps of the demanding four-mile circuit. The result extended Staab’s remarkable run to seven Am podiums through the opening seven races of the 2026 season and reinforced his position at the front of the championship battle.
Cooper Broll followed immediately behind in the No. 47. Racing solo at Road America, Broll delivered a controlled drive to third in Am and 22nd overall, finishing only 0.846 seconds behind Staab.
Gabriel Holguin completed the team’s tightly packed finish in the No. 45. Holguin crossed the line fourth in class and 23rd overall, just 0.319 seconds behind Broll. Only 1.165 seconds separated the three PPM cars at the finish, underlining the consistency and depth of the team’s Am-class lineup.
The 50-minute race remained green throughout and developed into a test of tire management, traffic and concentration. Light rain began to fall during the closing stages, adding another layer of difficulty as the field fought to bring the cars home on slick tires.
The Am victory went to the No. 89 entry of Mike Fitzpatrick and Johan Schwartz, while Staab and Broll completed the class podium for Precision Performance Motorsports. Holguin’s fourth-place finish gave PPM three consecutive positions from second through fourth.
Brandon Gdovic and the No. 46 PPM entry did not take the start and were recorded as DNS. The team nevertheless maximized the opportunity with its three Am cars, collecting two trophies and a valuable haul of championship points.
With all three starting PPM entries completing the full race distance, the Road America opener demonstrated the preparation and teamwork behind the program. The double podium also provided strong momentum heading into the second race of the weekend.
