No. 45 earns its first Am victory of the season as David Staab completes a commanding Precision Performance Motorsports class sweep.

Precision Performance Motorsports delivered a standout performance in Saturday’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America race at Road America, securing a one-two finish in the Am class with Gabriel Holguin and David Staab.

Holguin drove the No. 45 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 to his first Am-class victory of the season after a determined charge through the second half of the 50-minute race. He brought the car home just ahead of teammate Staab in the No. 48, giving PPM control of the top two steps of the class podium.

The race was shaped by an early full-course caution that delayed the mandatory pit-stop window and compressed the field. Once racing settled into a rhythm, Holguin remained within striking distance of the Am leaders and made the decisive move past Dean Neuls on Lap 12.

A 1.131-second post-race penalty for a short pit stop was added to the No. 45’s time, but Holguin had created enough of a margin to retain the victory. Staab also absorbed a small pit-stop penalty and still secured second place, finishing 2.606 seconds behind his teammate after 21 laps.

The result continued Staab’s remarkably consistent season and strengthened his position at the front of the Am championship battle. For Holguin, the win represented an emphatic response after a difficult Watkins Glen weekend and confirmed the pace PPM had shown throughout the Road America event.

“It’s so big for the team,” Holguin said after the race, recognizing the collective effort behind the result.

Saturday’s finish built on PPM’s double podium from Friday’s opening race, when Staab and Cooper Broll placed second and third in the Am class. Broll returned in the No. 47 for Race 2, but his afternoon ended after four laps, leaving him classified seventh in Am.

Brandon Gdovic remained alongside the team throughout the weekend, providing coaching and support while recovering from injuries sustained in a heavy incident at Road America. His presence added further meaning to a result earned through resilience, preparation and teamwork across the entire PPM operation.

With Holguin first and Staab second, Precision Performance Motorsports closed Road America with a major points haul and valuable momentum. The Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season continues at Indianapolis Motor Speedway from September 18–20 for Rounds 9 and 10, the final North American races before the World Finals at Monza.
