China Grove, N.C. (July 19, 2016) – Brian Henderson and the No. 46 Precision Performance Motorsports (PPM) team returned to NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competition this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Rookie Henderson spent practice and qualifying learning the unique characteristics of The Magic Mile and capitalized on these gains in the final laps of the United Site Services 70, finishing in the 15^th position at the largest oval track he has ever competed at.

After a two-race break, Henderson joined Precision Performance Motorsports in Loudon, New Hampshire to compete in only his second oval-track race. Henderson worked closely with crew chief Mark Setzer and spotter Frank Deiny to learn as much as he could about the flat, one-mile track during the weekend’s only scheduled K&N Pro Series East practice session. The series moved immediately into qualifying following practice, where Henderson posted a 22^nd-place starting position.

As the 70-lap race got underway, Henderson exercised caution to avoid the incidents typical of K&N racing. As the laps wound down, Henderson’s confidence continued to grow. He drove into the Lucky Dog position with 20 laps to go, a spot he would maintain until getting the free pass with nine laps remaining.

Henderson restarted 19^th and was able to advance a position before a quick caution flag flew, lining him up on the outside for a green-white-checker finish. Henderson, with the front of the field in site, ran his fastest laps of the race, passing three additional competitors in route to a 15^th-place finish.

Having such high speed heading down the straightaway and then having to break hard going in to the corners is different for me, but I really enjoyed it. On the restart, I followed the driver in front of me and passed three competitors in one lap.
