ALTON, VA, (September 1st, 2022) PPM sweeps the Pro-AM class wins at VIRginia International Raceway, wins in LB CUP, and lands podium finishes in the AM classes for rounds 9-10 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA Season.

The scorching race weekend began with free practice on Friday followed by qualifying on Saturday. PPM proudly added Anthony McIntosh to the lineup, in the #49 LB Cup for the remaining domestic rounds of the season at VIR. Dominating qualifying sessions set the field for another successful race weekend for the team.

The #49 had a successful introduction by qualifying P2 in class for race 1, and P1 in class for race 2. The #46 qualified P2 in class for race 1, and P1 in class for race 2. The #47 qualified P3 in class for race 1 and P2 for race 2. The #48 qualified P3 in class for race 1 and P1 for race 2.

In race 1, Lew maintained an excellent pace throughout his stint, and with Dubet’s takeover, the #46 finished P1, giving the duo their third consecutive class win of the season. Ortiz kept the #47 in P2 throughout his stint before handing off to Carazo, who claimed the P2 class finish. With Staab’s persistence despite the intensity of the heat, the #48 held P3, and finished P2 in class after Reger’s takeover. The #49 finished P2 in class, giving McIntosh a successful start to his series introduction.

The sweltering weather conditions carried over to Sunday for race 2. Dubet’s maintained P1 in #46 before the caution was called as the opening for the pit window approached. The race went green shortly after, and Dubets’s remained in the lead just before coming into pit. With a driver change to Lew behind the wheel, the #46 claimed P1, giving the duo a total victory sweep at VIR in Pro-AM. The #47 and #48 replicated their performance in race 1 finishing P2 in the Pro-AM, and AM classes. McIntosh was the perfect addition to the PPM lineup, with the LB Cup class win in the #49, adding to the team’s season podium streak.
